Training

The Association recognises that our work is in a high risk environment and is committed to appropriate standards of staff training and preparation. Historically we have actively participated in the development of industry training competencies in association with government, education institutions and RTOs.

TMIAV supported the uniquely Victorian “Traffic Controllers Log Book” which new entrants are required to complete for every site, and verified by their superior. We are resisting a move for national uniformity that would remove this obligation as we believe it enhances onsite training in the early stages.

Our Preferred Providers are subject to a rigorous selection process and are regularly reviewed.
